Unlucky weekend in Nurburgring

Friday morning starts with Qualifying 1 in which Johnny is forth behind Vervisch, Vanthoor and Chinosi.

Qualifying 2 sees Johnny again in a good fourth position. First row for Vervisch and Vanthoor, third Suzuki.

In Race 1 Johnny is third in the first corner and starts straight away attacking Vanthoor. In the fifth lap he manages to overtake the Belgian driver with a fantastic maneuver. He tries to get closer to the leader, Vervisch, that has a 7 second lead.
The race finishes with a 10 second lead for Vervisch onto Johnny and there are twelve seconds between Johnny and Vanthoor.
Johnny will then receive a 30 second time penalty for jump-start and was then classified tenth.
Only an hour after the race a video showing that there was no jump-start was found but at this point it is too late to appeal the decision of the stewards.

Race 2 Saturday afternoon, Johnny has a good start and is straight away third following Vanthoor. The Belgian was already overtaken by the Venezuelan in race 1 and is now blocking as much as possible, sometimes even unfairly. At half race the race becomes even more exciting, when Vanthoor makes a mistake at the first corner and Johnny gets next to him but Vanthoor has a better line and gets his position back. At this point a third driver manages to get close, Suzuki. In the last lap, two corners from the end, Johnny with a better exit from the corner before tries the last move on the Belgian that very unfairly goes and hits Johnny, pushing the Venezuelan of the track. He will be overtaken by Suzuki and finishes the race very angry.
